I started at a young age at my Grandmother’s knee, she was the most accomplished needlewoman I have ever known. By the time I attended secondary school, I could knit, crochet and embroider as well as turn a seam by hand and machine. The sewing machine was always out during my teenage years and has never been far from me since.

After attending various courses at nightschool, including City and Guilds in garment construction and soft furnishing, I also graduated from Huddersfield University with a Certificate in Education while also lecturing at Craven College, Skipton. Having my own sewing school has been on my wish list for a few years, and now I can combine two passions, sewing and teaching.
